It's been a while...
I haven't posted to this blog in quite some time. The major reason is that I've been undergoing a massive retooling of my methods and materials. For me, this means buying all new materials, learning new techniques, and all manner of hilarious learning curve oriented mistakes. For you, this means that you now have access to Hollywood quality masks, prosthetics, and special effects products. I'm back in the saddle and will have pics of this year's Halloween exploits up in a few days. My first major project (made entirely with new techniques and materials) is my own Halloween mask, Marvel Comic's The Red Skull. See you all soon!

Top Ten baby!!!
Hey (the two people who read my blog),
It's official, "Ruthless" is in the top ten for the John Woo Stranglehold contest. We are currently fighting for first with another film, but we do have a commanding lead over all of the others. Here's where you come in, this is a myspace contest, and id decided by user votes. We need all of the support we can get. So if you have a myspace.com profile,or know anyone who does, or have been meaning to set one up, please go and vote.

Our movie is called "Ruthless" and you can vote once a day per profile. It's the only one where we actually shot the actors for your viewing pleasure.
Thanks for the support.

Hey, everybody, look at this. This is the action thing we worked on. It's a super short cut but, hey, it's pretty cool.

Big things
As I sit behind my computer fighting terrorism, I dream of a time when I'll be doing big things. I create a spreadsheet that intercepts a nuclear warhead, detonating it in the air, and remember, "Hey! I am doing big things!"
This summer will see a lot of exciting stuff for us. Currently, I'm sculpting some custom prosthetics for BAU, which, if I must say, looks so real it creeps me out. Soon we'll see the final cuts of the (as of right now) untitled action short which consumed the last few months of our spare time. I believe this summer will also see the official release of our first ever SFX project. I'm not sure if I can legally refer to it here, but it's no home movie. I'll check on that before I post any picks or anything. If you really want to know, contact me. We've got some other things in development right now, but we want to keep those under wraps until they're ready to launch.
I'll be posting tons of pics and videos in the coming weeks. Stay vigilant, and I won't disappoint.
Until next time...UP AND AT THEM!!!!!!

Maiden Voyage
Hello all. Slightly Altered is on the Web!! I just noticed this blogspot business, and thought it would be a cool place to dump all of our left over info which I don't want wasting any web space that I actually pay for. First off, I want to say thanks a bunch to my good buddy Ruben DiazDeLeon (Il Capitan of Barrelhouselogic.com) for posting some pics of my most recent work. That particular piece will see some big things in the future. Soon I'll be posting some pics and videos to chronicle our various exploits in the special effects industry. Good stuff people, keep an eye out.
